A person was arrested in Casablanca for threatening to commit lethal assaults against sports fans.
On Sunday, the judicial police of the Casablanca Security District arrested an individual suspected of involvement in making threats related to a serious crime. This came after he appeared in a video circulating on social media, threatening to carry out deadly physical attacks against attendees at the city’s sports venues.
The police initiated a judicial investigation immediately upon detecting the video clip. Their investigations allowed them to identify the suspect, who was arrested the same day, and found to be in possession of quantities of cannabis resin.
The suspect has been placed under provisional detention, pending further investigations overseen by the competent public prosecutor’s office, to uncover all circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine all criminal acts attributed to him.
