The government approved the opening of additional credits for the general budget

The Council of Government approved, yesterday Thursday, the draft decree No. 2.25.368 to open additional credits for the general budget, presented by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, on behalf of the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the budget, Fouad Lakja.

The Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, the government spokesman, Mustafa Baitas, stated in a press conference following the Council of Government meeting that the aim of this draft decree is to open additional credits for the general budget, in implementation of the provisions of Article 60 of the Organic Law on Finance Law.

The Minister mentioned that the opening of these unexpected credits within the framework of the finance law for the year 2025 has an urgent and necessary character due to its association with supporting the financial situation of the National Office of Electricity and Water to ensure the stability of water and electricity prices, preserving the purchasing power of citizens; contributing to the capital of some institutions and public companies to improve their financial situation and enable them to finance their strategic projects; and covering the expenses related to improving the salaries of certain categories of employees within the framework of social dialogue.
