The Agricultural Credit Group initiates a national dialogue at the International Agricultural Show in Meknes on sustainability and innovation.

A new dynamic has been launched by the Agricultural Credit Group of Morocco at the heart of the national discussion regarding the future of smart agriculture, by organizing a high-level strategic seminar on the sidelines of its participation in the 2025 International Agricultural Show in Meknes.

The seminar took place on Thursday, April 24, in the conference space within the exhibition, under the title: “Smart Agriculture: How does Artificial Intelligence contribute to rational water use in agriculture?” This event gathered a group of Moroccan and international experts, representatives of official institutions, startups specializing in agricultural technology, in addition to prominent financial players and technicians.

The discussions centered around the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers for water resource optimization and enhancing farmers’ performance in light of climate challenges and the increasing pressure on water, which is considered a strategic resource to ensure the sustainability of agricultural systems in the Kingdom.

Participants affirmed that artificial intelligence is no longer merely a future tool, but has today become a central element in the digital transformation of the agricultural sector, thanks to its ability to analyze agricultural data accurately, provide smart solutions for water management, and improve productivity.

This initiative reflects the strategic vision of the Agricultural Credit Group of Morocco, as a financial player committed to supporting sustainable agricultural development. It aims to open channels of dialogue among various stakeholders and create a platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing innovation in the service of Morocco’s food sovereignty.

This seminar is also part of a series of qualitative initiatives launched by the group to accompany farmers on their digital transformation journey, developing innovative technological solutions that keep pace with climate changes and contribute to the preservation of natural resources, foremost of which is water.

With this step, the Agricultural Credit Group is redirecting the focus towards smarter and more sustainable agriculture by investing in knowledge and technology, and strengthening partnerships that place the farmer at the heart of the national transformation towards food sovereignty.
