A slight increase in industrial production prices during March 2025

The industrial production price index for the “manufacturing industries excluding petroleum refining” recorded a slight increase of 0.1% in March 2025 compared to February of the same year, according to a report from the High Commission for Planning.

This increase is primarily attributed to price rises of 1.7% in the “mining” sector, 0.3% in “manufacturing electrical appliances,” and 0.4% in both “furniture manufacturing” and “manufacturing other non-metallic products.” Additionally, the prices in the “chemical industry,” “beverage manufacturing,” “textile manufacturing,” and “producing computer and electronic equipment” also experienced a slight uptick of 0.1%.

Conversely, prices in the “food industries” fell by 0.2%, and in the “clothing industry,” they declined by 0.5%, partially affecting the overall rise.

On the other hand, the production price index for the “extractive industries” saw an increase of 0.1% during the same period.

As for the “production and distribution of electricity” and “production and distribution of water” sectors, their prices remained stable with no changes during March 2025.
