In a recent statement, Pakistan has issued a stark warning to India regarding its nuclear capabilities. The heightened tensions between the two nations have led to a series of aggressive exchanges, with Pakistan emphasizing its readiness to respond decisively if provoked.
This development comes amid ongoing disputes over territorial issues, particularly in the Kashmir region, which has been a longstanding point of contention between the two countries.
Officials in Islamabad have reiterated their commitment to defending national sovereignty, conveying that any threat to Pakistan would be met with a formidable response. This rhetoric underscores the fragile state of relations and the potential for escalation in the region.
Pakistani Minister of Railways Hanif Abbasi has threatened India, stating that Pakistan’s nuclear missiles “Ghauri,” “Shaheen,” and “Ghaznavi” are aimed at India and are not merely “decorations displayed in the streets.”
During a press conference, the Pakistani minister remarked, “If you stop our water, we will stop your breaths,” and added that Pakistan is prepared to fight India. He continued, “Imagine if you launch a single missile, we will respond with 200. What will your fate be? Where will you escape to? Don’t threaten us; we are ready to fight you, we are not cowards.” Abbasi also pointed out that India lacks data on the locations of the Pakistani missiles.
India has previously announced the suspension of its participation in the Indus Water Treaty following the Bahelgam attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists by militants from the Kashmiri resistance movement.
