Moulay Hassan Daki: The Public Prosecution is Open to Society and Protects Rights and Freedoms

Rabat / The Attorney General of the Court of Cassation and head of the Public Prosecution, Moulay Hassan Daki, visited the Public Prosecution’s booth at the International Book and Publishing Fair in Rabat over the weekend.

During his visit, Daki reviewed the booth’s content, which includes legal publications and works showcasing the role of the Public Prosecution in protecting rights and freedoms, as well as a program of seminars discussing issues related to current criminal policy.

In a statement to the press, the head of the Public Prosecution confirmed that the institution’s participation in the fair is part of an approach to openness to society and enhancing the culture of institutional communication, emphasizing the importance of making the booth a space for responsible discussion and legal dialogue with various stakeholders.

The Public Prosecution is participating in the thirtieth edition of the fair, which runs from April 18 to 28, under the slogan “A Citizen’s Public Prosecution… Guaranteeing Rights and Freedoms,” through organizing a series of scientific seminars and dialogue sessions.

The seminars organized within the Public Prosecution booth address topics such as alternative penalties, safeguarding economic security, judicial protection for women and children, justice and artificial intelligence, pre-trial detention, journalistic work between freedom and commitment, in addition to combating corruption and violence in digital spaces.

Through this participation, the judiciary aims to deepen societal discussion on human rights, ethics in public life, and challenges related to digitization, in the context of keeping pace with the legal and legislative transformations occurring in the Kingdom.
