Jordan’s Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya affirmed on Wednesday that the authorities possess conclusive evidence of the involvement of members of the Muslim Brotherhood in activities that threaten security and stability within the kingdom.

This statement was made during a press conference held at the Prime Minister’s office, where he revealed intriguing details regarding the group’s activities and strict government measures to limit its movements.

Here are the key points announced by the minister:

– The involvement of elements from the group in undermining security and national unity, and breaching public order has been established.
– Attempts to smuggle and destroy sensitive documents from the group’s headquarters on the night of the announcement to dismantle active cells, aimed at concealing evidence of suspicious connections.
– The thwarting of a plot to manufacture and test explosives, involving the son of a leader of the dissolved group and several collaborators, intended to target sensitive security sites.
– The continued activities of the group expose society to real dangers and threaten the lives of citizens.
– The resolution committee is expediting the confiscation of the group’s properties, based on judicial rulings.
– A declaration of a ban on the group’s activities, deeming it an unlawful association.
– Prohibition of promoting its ideas under the threat of legal accountability.
– Criminalization of any activity by the group, regardless of its form or type.
– Closure of all offices and headquarters associated with it, even if shared with other entities.
