GITEX Africa 2025: Morocco as a Platform for Creativity and Opportunities for Africans

The third edition of the “GITEX Africa Morocco” exhibition, organized from April 14 to 16 in Marrakech, features a strong African participation that reflects the significant standing of this essential event for stakeholders in technology and innovation across Africa.

This event, which serves as a true growth engine, provides a unique interface for startups, entrepreneurs, and organizations on the continent, fostering communication, collaboration, and access to new markets, thus enhancing Africa’s position in the global technological ecosystem.

Many participants, including representatives from governments, innovative startups, investors, and decision-makers, gathered in Marrakech, showcasing the scale and ambition of this event, which has become a must-attend occasion.

Abdul Rahman Jambo, the CEO of Nigeria’s Geronix, emphasized the exceptional importance of GITEX Africa in terms of the numerous opportunities available for businesses across the continent, adding that it is “a platform through which I managed to interact with audiences I would not have been able to meet in other ways.”

He considered this event to represent “a tremendous opportunity for growth and expansion,” praising Morocco’s “impressive” role as a regional driver of innovation.

Condé Nomouki, the assistant director general of Guinea’s National Network Management and Operation Company, highlighted the positive impacts of his participation in the exhibition, noting that “our pavilion attracts a large number of visitors.”

In this context, he mentioned that Guinea has participated in all previous editions of this exhibition, asserting that it represents an opportunity for his country to showcase its national program, “Simando 2040.”

He also praised the strength of Moroccan-Guinean relations, recalling that Morocco has proven over more than three decades to be a strong and committed partner alongside Guinea.

For his part, Gouthier Moreil Mintsah Mi Onou, a Gabonese engineer specialized in big data and artificial intelligence, expressed his satisfaction with the richness of exchanges and the diversity of exhibitors, adding, “I have discovered companies with diverse expertise, from cloud computing to cybersecurity, through to artificial intelligence. The prevailing dynamism here is inspiring and encouraging.”

This third edition of “GITEX Africa Morocco,” organized under the auspices of King Mohammed VI, features a rich program that includes sectoral seminars, innovative initiatives in the creative industries, and high-value professional networking forums.

This event, organized by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in partnership with the Digital Development Agency, aims to enhance collaboration among governments, investors, entrepreneurs, and digital players.
