Casablanca Stock Exchange Transactions

The Casablanca Stock Exchange started its trading on Wednesday with a positive performance, as its main index, “Masi,” recorded an increase of 0.6 percent, settling at 17,158.81 points.

The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, rose by 0.59 percent to 1,394.3 points, while the “MASI.ESG,” which represents companies with top ratings, grew by 0.68 percent, reaching 1,176.14 points.

Meanwhile, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, increased by 1.64 percent, reaching 1,685.08 points.

On the individual stock level, the strongest increases were recorded by “Bank Al Maghrib” (+4.04 percent/589.9 dirhams), “Jet Contractors” (+2.33 percent/2,149 dirhams), “Atlanta Sanad” (+2.33 percent/132 dirhams), “Stokvis North Africa” (+1.98 percent/54.1 dirhams), and “Motandis” (+1.82 percent/307 dirhams).

Conversely, the largest declines were seen by “Med Paper” (-3.26 percent/21.1 dirhams), “CMGP Group” (-1.81 percent/320.1 dirhams), “Sanlam Morocco” (-0.31 percent/1,944 dirhams), “Amourant Investment” (-0.22 percent/90 dirhams), and “Real Estate and Tourism Credit” (-0.18 percent/410 dirhams).

The “Masi” index had ended trading on Tuesday with a gain of 2.88 percent.
