The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened its trading on Friday with a positive performance, as its main index, “MAZ”, recorded a gain of 0.06 percent, settling at 17,310.28 points.

The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, rose by 0.1 percent to 1,409.14 points. Meanwhile, MASI.ESG, which includes companies with the highest ratings, grew by 0.02 percent to 1,189.27 points.

Conversely, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which measures the performance of small and medium enterprises listed on the exchange, decreased by 0.01 percent to 1,729.35 points.

In terms of individual stocks, the largest gains were seen in “Mechanical Achievements” (+5.51% / 470 dirhams), “Maghreb Cash” (+2.84% / 640 dirhams), “Dhia Al-Inash” (+1.84% / 38.75 dirhams), “Alliance” (+1.67% to 498 dirhams), and “Jet Contractors” (+1.65% / 2,160 dirhams).

On the other hand, the largest declines were registered by “Ab Morocco.com” (-4.73% / 38.04 dirhams), “Aluminium Morocco” (-2.49% / 1,760 dirhams), “Desway” (-2.13% / 781 dirhams), “Disti Technologies” (-2.08% / 330 dirhams), and “Stroke Industry” (-2.04% / 57.5 dirhams).

The MAZ index had finished trading yesterday, Thursday, recording a gain of 0.44 percent.
