The “Akdital” Group opens a new private hospital in Guelmim, enhancing healthcare offerings in the south
The “Akdital” Group has inaugurated the Guelmim Private Hospital, a modern healthcare facility equipped with the latest technology and adhering to internationally recognized health care standards. This initiative is part of national efforts to modernize and expand healthcare services across various regions of the Kingdom.
This multidisciplinary hospital, which includes a comprehensive cancer treatment center, represents a significant addition to the healthcare system in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region. It provides extensive medical and surgical care across multiple specialties, thanks to its advanced equipment and skilled medical staff.
The hospital has a capacity of 126 beds, eight fully-equipped operating rooms, including a state-of-the-art maternity unit and endoscopy rooms. It also features a resuscitation center comprised of nine intensive care units and seven neonatal incubators, in addition to a 25-bed intensive care unit.
In addressing cardiovascular diseases, the hospital has established a specialized unit for interventional cardiology that includes an angiography room and a stress testing room, allowing for optimal management of heart and vascular conditions.
Additionally, the hospital houses an advanced center for mothers and children, which includes 14 beds and a dedicated children’s area, as part of a holistic approach to personal and continuous healthcare.
The hospital’s radiology center operates 24/7, featuring advanced imaging equipment including MRI, CT scans, X-rays, ultrasound, and mammography, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis.
The cancer treatment center serves as a focal point of this healthcare project, offering a day hospital for chemotherapy with 13 chairs and a radiotherapy unit equipped with a new generation linear accelerator and precise dose measurement equipment.
The hospital also includes a laboratory operating round-the-clock, covering various specialties from biochemistry to microbiology and immunology, including hematology.
The continuous emergency service further enhances this healthcare offering, overseen by a medical team specialized in resuscitation and anesthesia to manage various critical cases.
In a significant step forward, the Guelmim Private Hospital implements comprehensive digitization of medical data, allowing for secure and rapid access to information by health professionals and ensuring better coordination in treatment delivery.
