Collective Equipment Fund Launches Digital Project to Modernize Its Banking System and Enhance Local Services

The Collective Equipment Fund has announced the launch of an international tender for the acquisition, installation, training, and activation of a new core banking information system, as part of its digital strategy aimed at modernizing its infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency.

This project comes as part of the digital transformation journey the Fund has been engaged in for years, leveraging over six decades of experience in supporting and financing local projects in Morocco. Its goal is to improve the quality of financial services it offers by adopting a modern information system that keeps pace with the times and meets the demands for transparency, speed, and accuracy in transactions.

The estimated cost of the project has been set at 16.1 million dirhams, based on the results of a strategic study that concluded a comprehensive redesign of the currently adopted information system is necessary. The project focuses on establishing a highly flexible, scalable, and integrative technical solution that allows for the improvement of operational processes and enhances the efficiency of institutional performance.

The new system targets the automation of loan procedures and financial transactions, simplifies administrative processes, and enhances the quality of accounting services, enabling precise decision-making based on real-time and reliable data. It will also work to unify the database related to all banking operations, providing the capability to track data and reports moment by moment.

The core banking system will manage a range of vital functions such as recording and managing loans, issuing contracts, monitoring withdrawal and collection operations, calculating commissions, and monitoring delinquent debts. The system will include intelligent features for flexible loan modifications, including rescheduling, early repayment, debt transfer, and interest review.

This system will also contribute to improving accounting management by generating accounting entries, managing cost centers, and preparing journals and budgets in a fully automated and integrated manner, thereby enhancing transparency and accuracy while ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

This digital project reinforces the position of the Collective Equipment Fund as a key partner for local communities in financing and implementing development projects, from infrastructure to the management of public facilities. It reflects its commitment to aligning with territorial dynamics and providing advanced digital tools that contribute to improving governance and quality of life at the local level.
