Rachid Talbi Alami Welcomes Slovak Foreign and Defense Ministers to Discuss Enhancing Cooperation between the Two Countries

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, received on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Council headquarters in Rabat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Slovakia, Juraj Blanár, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Robert Kalinák, during their official visit to the Kingdom leading a high-level delegation.

The discussions between the two sides focused on the key strategic initiatives launched by the Kingdom under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, emphasizing the importance of strengthening Moroccan-Slovak relations in various fields. This is in line with the firm principles of Moroccan diplomacy, particularly respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, non-interference in internal affairs, promoting peaceful conflict resolution, and supporting continental and international initiatives for peace and security.

The meeting also highlighted the role of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary relations in strengthening cooperation between the two legislative institutions. The mechanisms to activate this collaboration were addressed through the exchange of parliamentary experiences, organizing mutual visits, and coordinating positions in various regional and international parliamentary forums.

The meeting was attended by the Slovak Ambassador to Morocco, Juraj Tomaga, along with several officials and advisors from the Slovak Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
