Citizens using the tram line between Salé and Rabat were surprised on Tuesday morning by a service interruption lasting over an hour, coinciding with peak commuting times for employees and students.
While the two lines serving passengers between Rabat and Salé were in operation, they suddenly ceased, forcing passengers to complete their journeys on foot across the Hassan II Bridge connecting the two cities.
In a statement from the Rabat-Salé Tramway network, it was clarified that the reason for the disruption was a “technical incident,” which led to the suspension of services between the stations of Bab Al-Morisa and Bab Chala, as well as between Bab Al-Morisa and Mohammed V stations, adding that “this inconvenience was beyond our control.”
