Positive Performance in Casablanca Stock Exchange Trading

The Casablanca Stock Exchange commenced trading today, Thursday, with a positive performance; its main index, “MASI,” recorded a gain of 0.1 percent, settling at 17,628.76 points.

The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, increased by 0.07 percent to 1,436.36 points. Additionally, “MASI.ESG,” the index representing companies with the best ratings, grew by 0.12 percent to reach 1,208.16 points.

Meanwhile, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which tracks the performance of small and medium enterprises listed on the exchange, rose by 0.43 percent to 1,743.36 points.

On an individual stock level, the strongest gains were recorded by “Moroccan Drinks” (+2.64 percent to 2,135 dirhams), “Soutima” (+2.55 percent to 1,288 dirhams), “Sonasid” (+2.26 percent to 2,168 dirhams), “Med Paper” (+2.11 percent to 22.23 dirhams), and “Stockfis North Africa” (+1.82 percent to 56 dirhams).

Conversely, the most significant declines were seen in “Imiter Mining Company” (-2.5 percent to 2,340 dirhams), “Dar Assaada Residences” (-1.94 percent to 101 dirhams), “SNI” (-1.43 percent to 680.1 dirhams), “Ecodom” (-1.31 percent to 1,052 dirhams), and “CMG Group” (-1.2 percent to 312.15 dirhams).

The “MASI” index had concluded trading yesterday, Wednesday, with a profit of 0.26 percent.
