With great love and generosity, we inform our dear brothers about our solo art exhibition titled “The Desert has a Trace…”, which will take place at the artistic hall of the Iklil Cultural Center in Tangier. The event is organized and supervised by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Advancement of Social Works in Education and Training from Friday, May 16, starting at 6:30 PM until Thursday, June 5, 2025.

On the occasion of this exhibition, a medium-sized catalog (44 pages) will be published, featuring an artistic biography and images of the artworks, along with a diverse group interview about the thematic context and the technical and creative characteristics that define this proposed artistic experience. Esteemed and distinguished art researchers and critics from Morocco and abroad have graciously participated, including Talal Maala (Syria), Ali Al-Najjar (Iraq), Mohamed Ben Hammouda, Sami Ben Amer, Khalil Qouiah, and Fatih Ben Amer (Tunisia), Mustafa Issa, Amal Nasr, and Mohamed Mahdi Hamida (Egypt), Fakhriya Al-Yahyaeya (Oman), Abdul Rahman Al-Sulaiman (Saudi Arabia), Mohamed Al-Amiri (Jordan), and from Morocco: Abdullah Al-Sheikh, Shafik Al-Zakari, Nour al-Din Fathi, Bunyounes Amirouch, Aziz Azghai, Idris Kathi, Hassan Lghadch, and Said Karmas, alongside two texts in French by the French critic Daniel Couturier and the artist and writer Hassan Al-Muqaddam.

Also, on the second day, Saturday, May 17, a roundtable discussion will be organized on the topic “The Experience of Trace in Fine Art” with the participation of distinguished critics and creators, along with the presentation of the project “Guardians of the Trace – Arabic Painting Experiences” (we will return with detailed information along with the meeting poster).

The artwork photography is by the talented artists Said Oubrayem and Abdul Hadi Mourid, and the poster design is by the visual artist Abdul Baqi Raji-Elah. Special thanks to the colleagues at the Iklil Cultural Center and the family of the Mohammed VI Foundation.

Everyone is welcome!
