The Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, announced yesterday in Rabat that the construction and public works sector contributed to the creation of 52,000 job opportunities during the first quarter of 2025, demonstrating the sector’s dynamism.
This statement was made by Mr. Baraka to the press during a meeting chaired by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, which focused on monitoring the implementation of the employment sector roadmap.
The minister emphasized that the major projects being undertaken by the government, in line with the high royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, play a significant role in generating numerous job opportunities. He added that the aim of this meeting is to explore the development and enhancement of available job opportunities through these projects.
He further noted that the meeting also aimed to activate the roadmap related to job creation, particularly within the frameworks associated with the organization of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
He pointed out that this pertains mainly to the construction and public works sector, direct support for housing, regional development plans, and the national program for supplying drinking water and irrigation by 2027.
