FIFA Launches Two Digital Platforms to Enhance Integrity and Combat Match-Fixing in Football

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has launched two new digital platforms aimed at promoting sustainable cooperation in the field of sports integrity worldwide, as part of its efforts to protect the integrity of football and address the risks of match-fixing and corruption.

FIFA explained on its official website that these platforms, designed to provide long-term support, aim to bolster integrity initiatives within the football ecosystem by fostering collaboration and the exchange of expertise among various stakeholders in this vital area.

The first initiative is the "Integrity Officers Community Platform," which offers a digital space for interaction with all resources related to integrity and facilitates the exchange of information and experiences among integrity officers from different football associations and bodies.

The second initiative, the "FIFA Integrity Division Platform," will enable integrity officers to report any suspicions related to match-fixing and to request direct assistance from FIFA’s Integrity Division concerning investigations and technical support.

FIFA emphasizes that this step aligns with its foundational commitment, as articulated in its strategic objectives for 2023-2027, to combat all practices threatening the integrity of the game, including match-fixing, doping, and corruption, thereby safeguarding matches, tournaments, and all participants within the world of football.
