Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Emir of Medina and Chairman of the Regional Development Authority, inaugurated the “Taybah Lights and Artifacts” pavilion and the “Itihaf” digital platform along with scientific encyclopedias on the prophetic biography and the Prophet’s Mosque at the International Museum of the Prophetic Biography and Islamic Civilization. This event was attended by Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Board of Museums of the Prophetic Biography and Islamic Civilization.

During the Emir’s visit to the museum, he reviewed the “Taybah Lights and Artifacts” pavilion, which presents a documented showcase of the noble city through more than 20 diverse sections that include the most significant archaeological sites and historical, cultural, and social landmarks from the time of the noble Prophet. The pavilion features a panorama of the Prophet’s chamber, a model of the Prophet’s Mosque, a tent dedicated to prophetic medicine, and a daily program of the noble Prophet’s activities, offering an engaging interactive experience to relive events from the prophetic biography.

Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz listened to a brief explanation about the “Itihaf” digital platform, which supports digital transformation by providing a modern interactive window that allows visitors to explore the prophetic biography through virtual tours. Users can access a foundational scientific library and encyclopedic resources dedicated to the Holy Quran and the noble Sunnah, featuring over 350 translated works in major global languages, in addition to following updates about the museums and related initiatives. This enhances the dissemination of the prophetic biography through innovative modern means.

He also visited the pavilion highlighting “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts in serving the Holy Quran, the noble Sunnah, the Two Holy Mosques, and the guests of the Merciful,” and learned about the works and efforts being undertaken by the Kingdom to highlight the noble message of Islam, which is a mercy to all worlds.

This project underscores “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s deserving position as the primary reference and its permanent leadership in the service of the Holy Quran and the noble Sunnah,” due to the tremendous attention it receives under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

It is noteworthy that the recent developments at the International Museum of the Prophetic Biography, overseen by the Muslim World League, are in collaboration with the Emirate of Medina and the Regional Development Authority to create a civilizational project that enriches the experience of the guests of the Merciful visiting Medina.
