A communication meeting was held yesterday, Thursday, in Rabat, between the Hungarian Ambassador to Morocco, Miklós Trócsányi, and a group of Moroccan students from various backgrounds. This event was organized within the framework of the diplomatic meetings of the “Youth & Diplomacy Network” and centered around educational and cultural issues.

The goal of this meeting was to highlight the role of education in cultural diplomacy, appreciate the engagement of youth, and enhance the bridges of cooperation between the two countries through knowledge and youth.

In a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, Trócsányi emphasized the importance of educational cooperation between Morocco and Hungary, particularly highlighting the “Stipendium Hungaricum” scholarship program and several bilateral initiatives in the educational field, including a recent exchange program organized in Budapest at the initiative of the Hungarian Embassy in Rabat and the “Youth & Diplomacy Network.”

The Hungarian diplomat affirmed that education serves as a catalyst for rapprochement between the two countries, noting that the exchange program annually allows 165 Moroccan students to complete their university studies in Budapest.

He also mentioned that scientific collaboration between Morocco and Hungary is currently at its “best levels ever,” highlighting that for the academic year 2025-2026, 5,700 applications were received from Moroccan students, reflecting the growing interest in training in Hungary.

On the other hand, the students benefiting from this exchange expressed the importance of what they gained on both academic and cultural levels, as well as the positive impact of this experience on both personal and collective dimensions.

These students shared their joy about this enriching experience, confirming that it allowed them to introduce Moroccan culture to Hungarian society, and to closely learn about the richness and diversity of Hungarian culture.
