His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema on the occasion of his election as President of the Gabonese Republic.
In the King’s message, he stated, “It gives me great pleasure to extend my congratulations on the confidence shown in you by the Gabonese people in electing you as Head of State in the first round, following a political transition that you have led. I wish you all success in your noble tasks towards achieving prosperity and welfare for your country and your brotherly people.”
His Majesty emphasized in the message that the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Gabon represent a distinguished model of fruitful and sustainable cooperation between Southern countries and African nations alike, based on solidarity and mutual assistance, “in addition to the strong and deep fraternal ties that bind our two peoples.”
On this basis, His Majesty King Mohammed VI renewed to Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema Morocco’s commitment to continue its diligent work with the brotherly Republic of Gabon to advance the promotion of these distinguished links and expand the horizons of their bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
