The General Directorate of Meteorology anticipates a relatively warm to hot day across the eastern regions, southeastern areas, and the interior of the desert provinces. Coastal areas along the Atlantic and Mediterranean, as well as parts of the northwestern desert regions, will experience some low to moderately thick clouds accompanied by fog or very light rain.
Forecast Overview
Today, unstable and thunderstorm-prone clouds are expected to bring local rain to the Middle Atlas mountains and the eastern highlands. Meanwhile, moderate to somewhat strong winds may sweep through the Atlas heights, extreme southeastern areas, the east, and the desert provinces, stirring up local dust in these regions.
Temperature Expectation
Nighttime temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius in the High Atlas mountains, while eastern and southeastern regions, as well as the far south of the country, will experience temperatures between 24 and 30 degrees. The rest of the country will see temperatures from 15 to 21 degrees. Overall, a drop in temperatures is anticipated across most areas.
Coastal Conditions
Sea conditions will vary, with the Mediterranean likely to be moderately rough, while the strait of Gibraltar will experience calm to light waves. Coastal areas between Boujdour and Laayoune will see moderate swells, with other coastlines remaining calm to slightly rough.
