The government supports innovation and the health and safety of industrial enterprises.

In response to a written question from Khalid Setti regarding support for small and medium enterprises, Ryad Mezzour confirmed that the government has supported 571 industrial projects to date, including 160 innovative projects and 411 industrial units under the “Safety of Small and Medium Enterprises” program, which aims to protect workers and ensure a safe environment.

The minister explained that the National Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises is activating the “Development – Research and Technological Innovation” program to support industrial and innovative enterprises, whether small or large, in research and development projects or product innovation and patent commercialization.

The program covers multiple stages, including product design, prototype verification, and pilot manufacturing, while providing financial and technical support for the development of innovative solutions and products. By mid-October 2025, a total of 160 projects had benefited from this program.

At the same time, the Safety of Small and Medium Enterprises program aims to support 1,000 industrial units exposed to various risks to worker safety and surrounding areas, particularly in the cities of Casablanca, Tangier, and Salé, by relocating them to qualified industrial zones that ensure a safe working environment.

Financial support includes covering 50% of building rental costs up to a maximum of 36,000 dirhams for two years, and 30% of equipment acquisition costs up to a maximum of 34,000 dirhams, in addition to technical support of up to 30,000 dirhams. Since the program began, 411 industrial units have been supported, with 394 benefiting from rental assistance, and 17 investment support requests approved.

The minister confirmed that the agency approved the strategic development plan for 2025-2030 during its latest board meeting in July 2025, aiming to enhance the impact of public programs and ensure their alignment with national priorities in supporting small and medium enterprises.
