The Atlas Cubs strike hard… A Moroccan victory over Tunisia with two goals in the opening of the North African Championship.
The Moroccan U-17 national team began its participation in the North African Union Championship, held in Benghazi, Libya, with a well-deserved victory against their Tunisian counterpart, winning 2-0 in their first match of the competition.
The Atlas Cubs showcased a disciplined performance, dominating the match and successfully translating their superiority into two goals. The first goal was scored by Mohamed Habib Zenbi in the first half, followed by Rami Loukmani, who confirmed Morocco’s dominance with a second goal in the final minutes.
This tournament holds particular significance as it is part of the qualifiers for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be hosted in Morocco in 2026, which also serves as a gateway to the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
