Nestlé Morocco affirms the safety of infant nutrition products and their compliance with national and international standards.

In light of parents’ growing concern for the quality and safety of infant nutrition products, Nestlé Morocco emphasized that all its offerings for this segment are safe for consumption and meet all applicable national and international criteria.

The company highlighted that the health, safety, and well-being of infants remain a top priority, noting that these principles form the foundation of all its operations and industrial practices. In this regard, infant nutrition products undergo a meticulous series of monitoring and rigorous testing throughout various manufacturing stages, with over 1,200 tests and examinations conducted on each batch of infant formula before it is released to the market.

These processes, according to the company, are based on a strict monitoring system that incorporates good manufacturing practices and a hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) system, along with complete adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Moreover, Nestlé Morocco confirmed that all products currently available at retail locations within the kingdom meet safety and quality requirements and are naturally displayed across various channels, including pharmacies. None of these batches have previously undergone a market withdrawal.

The company clarified that a recent announcement from the National Office for Food Safety does not pertain to its products, affirming that its infant formulas marketed in Morocco are not affected by this announcement and continue to comply with established standards.

This clarification reflects a commitment to continuous vigilance, scientific discipline, and transparency, as the company proactively takes necessary actions swiftly and responsibly when additional verification is needed, strictly adhering to its internal protocols.

In this context, Grégoire Lgualli, General Manager of the North and West Africa Group at Nestlé Middle East and North Africa, stated, “The safety, health, and well-being of children are at the heart of Nestlé’s priorities.” He affirmed that all infant nutrition products available in Morocco have undergone all necessary procedures and comply with strict quality and safety standards.

The company concluded by assuring consumers of the continued safe use of its products with confidence, provided they follow the instructions printed on the packages and the recommendations from healthcare professionals. Furthermore, it emphasized ongoing clear and objective communication to provide parents and healthcare professionals with accurate and updated information.
