Issam Al-Chawali Comments on CAF Decision: Morocco Officially Crowned AFCON Champions Through Legal Path
The renowned sports commentator Issam Al-Chawali praised the decision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which officially awarded the Moroccan national team the title of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025. This administrative decision, issued by the Appeals Committee, followed the application of Article 84 of the tournament regulations, considering Senegal to have lost by withdrawal in the final match and confirming a 3-0 victory for Morocco.
In his post, Al-Chawali emphasized that this decision put an end to the ongoing debate regarding the final, affirming Morocco’s continental title through legal means, even without completing the match on the field.
