Safety of dams on the agenda of the government council
The government council, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, will convene next Thursday to discuss several legislative and organizational issues.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the council will begin its session by reviewing a draft law concerning judicial experts, aimed at regulating this field and enhancing its role within the judicial system.
The council will continue by discussing two draft decrees, the first of which pertains to the establishment of an internal monitoring system within ministerial sectors, while the second concerns the classification, monitoring, and evaluation of dams, thereby enhancing the governance of water infrastructure management.
The council will then move on to examine an air services agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of the Republic of Gambia, signed in Montreal on September 30, 2025, alongside a draft law approving this agreement.
The session will conclude with the review of proposals for appointments to high positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.
According to the same source, the government will hold a special meeting following the conclusion of the council session to study several legislative proposals.
