Morocco sees the establishment of over 100,000 businesses by November 2025
The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property announced that the number of new businesses established in Morocco by the end of November 2025 reached 100,776, with 72,442 of these being incorporated entities and 28,334 being sole proprietorships.
The Barometer of Business Establishments indicated that the trade sector dominated with 35.75% of the total, followed by the construction and real estate sector at 19.71%, diverse services at 17.6%, transportation at 7.69%, industry at 7.02%, hospitality and restaurants at 5.68%, information and communication technology at 2.91%, financial activities at 1.84%, and agriculture and fishing at 1.79%.
Regionally, Casablanca-Settat topped the list with 31,361 new businesses, followed by Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (13,935), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (12,872), Marrakech-Safi (11,367), Souss-Massa (6,803), the East (5,670), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (3,735), Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab (2,757), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (2,497), Drâa-Tafilalet (2,146), and Guelmim-Oued Noun (757 businesses).
Regarding the legal forms of businesses, single-member limited liability companies made up 64.9%, followed by limited liability companies at 34.4%, while anonymous companies and others accounted for 0.2% and 0.5%, respectively.
