The acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, confirmed on Thursday in front of parliament that her administration has demanded that the United States ensure the “dignity” of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who were arrested by American forces in Caracas on January 3.

Rodriguez explained that the couple is being held in the United States awaiting their trial on drug trafficking charges.
