The Public Prosecutor fights the phenomenon of brokerage and fraud around the courts.

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the Public Prosecutor at the Marrakech Court of First Instance ordered the detention of an individual who impersonated a prosecutor and requested 5,000 dirhams from a litigant in exchange for canceling a search warrant issued against him. Following the Public Prosecutor’s directives, a sting operation was set up, and the accused was apprehended after receiving the money near the court.

A search of his residence revealed an office containing a collection of stamps and files, which were seized for use in the investigation. Additionally, the search yielded significant financial amounts estimated at 5 million dirhams.
