“Path of Achievements”: The National Rally of Independents Documents Its Experience in Leading the Moroccan Government
The National Rally of Independents (RNI) presented its new book titled “Path of Achievements” this evening at its headquarters in Rabat, in the presence of the party’s president Aziz Akhennouch and members of its political bureau. This step aims to document the party’s experience and highlight its accomplishments in government leadership.
Akhennouch pointed out that this publication comes at a pivotal stage in the current government’s tenure, and it aims not only to showcase achievements but also to provide a critical and responsible review of the party’s journey since it took over the leadership of the governmental coalition.
He clarified that the book represents the continuation of intellectual and political efforts that began in 2017 and is the fourth in a series of publications that document the party’s experience. The previous editions include “Path of Trust” (2017), which focused on health, education, and employment; “Path of Cities” (2019), which shaped a vision of proximity governance; and “Path of Development,” which dealt with spatial justice and enhancing the role of local elected officials.
In his remarks, Akhennouch emphasized that the book does not merely focus on the results but also strives to foresee opportunities for a better Morocco, asserting that evaluating the experience with impartiality and fairness is an integral part of political responsibility. He stated, “Our historical role compels us to appreciate our achievements, provide an objective reading of the current experience, and anticipate future opportunities.”
Akhennouch also reviewed the party’s philosophy in governmental work, highlighting the reliance on tangible achievements and effectiveness rather than rhetoric and slogans, while focusing on fulfilling commitments despite complex circumstances. He praised the harmony within the governing majority, describing it as the most cohesive during the party’s two-decade journey.
For his part, Mustapha Baitas, a member of the political bureau, confirmed that the issuance of the book reflects the importance of intellectual production in party work and reestablishes the significance of documenting the political experience for future generations. He asserted that the party has chosen a path of sustainable documentation that immortalizes political practices and places them in their realistic context.
