Gideon Saar Warns of Iran’s Atrocities and Nuclear Threat During Visit to Azerbaijan
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has warned against the atrocities committed by the Iranian regime against its own people, emphasizing the significant danger posed by Iran’s potential acquisition of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear arms.
Saar made these remarks during his recent visit to Azerbaijan, where he met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baku. The two ministers discussed the bilateral relations between their countries and the regional situation.
After the meeting, Saar stated: “Since October 7, the axis of evil led by Iran has been attempting to destroy the State of Israel. The joint actions between Israel and the United States under President Trump have thwarted Iran’s nuclear ambitions, contributing to the enhancement of regional security.”
He added, “Currently, the Ayatollah regime is committing brutal killings and repression against its people, who are fighting for their freedom. This is happening in secrecy, amidst internet blackouts, yet horrifying images of the mass slaughter of Iranian citizens are already spreading.”
Saar continued: “We are witnessing spine-chilling events. An unimaginable massacre is occurring in Iran against its own people by a regime that controls them. If a regime behaves this way towards its citizens, how can we expect it to act towards other countries? It is absolutely forbidden for the most extreme regimes in the world to acquire the world’s deadliest weapons, including nuclear arms.”
He stressed that the international community must take a firm stance against Iran’s nuclear threats and protect Iranian civilians from ongoing violations, underscoring the importance of regional and international coordination to maintain security and stability.
