The Board of Directors of the “Al-Mada” Group announced on Friday the appointment of Nafisa Al-Qassar as the new Chief Executive Officer of the group, effective immediately, succeeding the late Hassan El-Wariakli.

In a statement, the group noted that the board convened to honor the deceased, praising his leadership, numerous achievements, and dedication to the group, which has left a lasting mark in its history and contributed to enhancing its position on both national and African levels. The group extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the employees, sharing in the pain of these difficult moments.

This appointment reflects the group’s commitment to continuous innovation, sustainable development, and operational efficiency.

Nafisa Al-Qassar brings extensive experience within the group, having begun her career in the group’s bank before moving to Al-Mada Holding as Deputy CEO, where she played an active role in strategic projects and the growth of the group. She was also involved in founding “Commercial Finance Group” and currently serves on the board of several group subsidiaries. Al-Qassar is a graduate of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).

The statement confirmed that under Nafisa Al-Qassar’s leadership, Al-Mada Group will continue to develop its innovation ecosystem and enhance its contribution to economic and social progress at both national and international levels, while adhering to the values and principles established by the group’s shareholders.
