Arrest of a Suspect in the Case of Threats Against YouTuber Mohamed Touhfa
Informed sources have reported that the identity of a person suspected of being involved in verbal threats targeting Moroccan YouTuber Mohamed Touhfa, who resides in the United States, has been identified. This follows a prompt and serious response to the information related to the case.
According to the same sources, the individual is identified as Ayoub W., who is suspected of having a criminal record, particularly for cases involving aggravated theft, assault and battery, causing physical harm, and alcohol-related offenses. It was found that this person was subject to two nationwide arrest warrants issued by the judicial police in Kenitra to serve a previous prison sentence.
Field investigations resulted in the identification of the suspect’s address, as listed on his electronic identification card, leading to his subsequent arrest at his home at the same address, in accordance with the applicable legal procedures.
The suspect has been placed under provisional detention, at the request of the public prosecutor, pending further investigation to uncover all the details of the case, clarify the true motives behind the threats attributed to him, and ascertain any connections to other incidents or potential parties involved.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the security services to combat various forms of threats and crimes affecting individuals, both within the country and abroad, ensuring that no one escapes legal accountability.
