Iranian Official: We Are Ready for War and Prepared to Negotiate with Conditions
The first vice president of Iran, Mohammad Reza Aref, stated on Thursday that Iran must be prepared for war in the face of increasing threats of U.S. military intervention.
According to the ISNA news agency, Aref emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not initiate wars but will strongly defend itself if compelled to fight, stressing the need for readiness for various scenarios.
Conversely, the Iranian official indicated that his country remains ready to negotiate with the United States; however, he asserted that any negotiation process this time requires guarantees, without disclosing the nature of these guarantees.
