Mohamed Al-Hrouali, coordinator of the Marrakech-Safi region for the National Observatory for the Fight Against Corruption and the Protection of Public Funds, praised the organizational success of the Africa Cup of Nations held in Marrakech. He affirmed that the event proceeded in a highly organized and smooth manner, with strict security measures and coordination among various stakeholders.

The organization was directly supervised by the governor of the Marrakech-Safi region, while the security aspects were managed by the Marrakech police chief, who implemented daily coordination to manage the flow of crowds in the vicinity of the stadium and ensure that matches proceeded without any disruptions.

Security measures included reinforcing fixed and mobile patrols around the stadium and major roadways, providing public transport buses during peak times, and employing an advanced technical monitoring system that featured 360-degree cameras, facial recognition technology, and license plate recognition, along with aerial surveillance using drones and activating command centers to unify decision-making and expedite responses.

Al-Hrouali stated that the success of the event contributed to enhancing Marrakech’s global reputation, asserting that the organizational and tourism gains for the city extend beyond media coverage, positively impacting regional and national development. He called for building upon this success by enhancing services, improving hospitality quality, and preserving the cultural heritage of the red city.
