Tétouan… Interception of a 12-kilogram cocaine smuggling attempt through the Bab Sebta border crossing.
The regional judicial police in Tétouan opened an investigation today, Tuesday, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to determine the circumstances surrounding the attempted smuggling of 12 kilograms of cocaine through the Bab Sebta border crossing.
This operation was part of the joint border monitoring efforts between the national security and customs services. A foreign-registered vehicle, driven by a Moroccan citizen, was stopped. Upon inspection, this large shipment of drugs intended for smuggling within national territory was discovered.
The suspect, a 30-year-old man, was subjected to judicial questioning to uncover the extent of this case and its connections to international drug trafficking networks, as well as to apprehend all individuals involved in this criminal activity.
