Morocco is hosting the training camp for the Cameroon national team ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Cameroonian football team, known as the “Indomitable Lions,” is preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, with the team’s delegation expected to arrive in Casablanca on December 14, 2025, according to the website camerfoot-infos.
David Pagou will lead the team in this tournament after being appointed head coach on December 1, embarking on a new phase of technical and tactical preparations.
The source indicates that the Cameroon national team will hold its first camp in Casablanca until December 20, where players will have the opportunity to acclimate to local conditions and refine their collective tactics, with the possibility of a friendly match during this period, although the opponent has not yet been determined.
After the camp, the delegation will move to Agadir, the host city for the group stage, where the team will play its first match on December 24 against Gabon, known for its strength and challenging competition, especially after its good performance in the World Cup qualifiers and its qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations.
David Pagou will be assisted by Alexandre Belinga and Martin Ntongho Mbil, both well-regarded experts in African football, providing a blend of experience and local knowledge, which is crucial just days before the tournament kicks off.
The unique aspect of Cameroon’s preparations is that they will take place on Moroccan soil, unlike their group competitors, Ivory Coast and Gabon, who have chosen to train in Spain. This may give Cameroon an advantage when it comes to acclimatizing to the climate and local conditions from the start of the competition.
With less than two weeks before the Africa Cup of Nations begins, Cameroon is focused on finalizing their technical preparations, enhancing cohesion among players, and infusing new dynamics into the team under the guidance of the new coaching staff, aiming to meet fan expectations despite recent setbacks and not qualifying for the World Cup.
