Lavrov Announces Agenda for Second Russia-Africa Ministerial Conference in Cairo
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that the second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum is scheduled to take place in Cairo on December 19-20. The conference will discuss the outcomes of the implementation of the joint action plan between Russia and its African partners, as well as the preparations for the third Russia-Africa summit, set for 2026.
During the 45th session of the Council of Heads of Federal Entities of Russia, Lavrov stated that the conference would provide an opportunity to review the interim results of cooperation between the two sides, focusing on the preparations for the upcoming summit.
Furthermore, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova emphasized that the second ministerial conference in the Egyptian capital will inject additional momentum into the development of Russian-African relations and will strengthen the partnership frameworks between the two parties.
It is worth noting that the second Russia-Africa ministerial conference will be held from December 19 to 20, 2025, in Cairo as part of a series of events aimed at enhancing political and economic cooperation between Russia and African countries.
