Idris Lachkar opens the work of the National Council of the Socialist Union… Here is the list of the new political bureau.

Idris Lachkar, the first secretary of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, inaugurated this morning the first session of the party’s National Council. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of completing the party’s structures and national bodies, reiterating the commitment to the contents of the Twelfth National Congress and the requirements of the basic and internal regulations.

Lachkar highlighted the significant role played by the former chairman of the National Council, Dr. Habib El Malki, describing him as a model of national responsibility and wisdom, and appreciating the contributions of previous leaders in strengthening the party’s experience. He stated that the current session is a pivotal juncture in the ongoing process of organizational construction for the party, which began with the grassroots restructuring, continuing through regional conferences, and culminating in preparations for the Twelfth National Congress, a phase he referred to as an “organizational epic” to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the extraordinary congress of 1975.
