The Kremlin: Putin Sends Christmas Greetings to Trump, Russia Considers Peace Proposals on Ukraine
The spokesman for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a Christmas message to U.S. President Donald Trump.
Peskov explained that this gesture falls within the norms of diplomacy, reminding of a previous statement made by Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, who pointed out that Moscow, out of respect and courtesy, strives to extend greetings to Washington during the winter holidays.
In a related context, the Kremlin spokesman indicated that Moscow continues to study proposals related to the peace plan for Ukraine, which Kirill Dmitriev presented to President Putin. He stated that the Kremlin is analyzing these offers, emphasizing that after completing their review, and based on the decisions made by the Russian president, communication with the American side will continue.
