The government is set to meet on Thursday, led by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, to discuss several legislative and regulatory matters.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the council will begin its work by reviewing a draft law aimed at amending the law concerning the establishment of the National Road Safety Agency.

The statement clarified that the council will continue its discussions with the examination of four draft decrees. The first pertains to amendments concerning the special status of the nursing and health technicians’ corps shared among ministries, while the second relates to amendments to the basic statute for nurses within the Ministry of Health.

The third draft decree involves changes to the regulations concerning compensation for on-call duties and mandatory service in health institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health and university hospital centers. Meanwhile, the fourth draft seeks to establish the legal minimum wage for agricultural and non-agricultural activities.

The same source indicated that the council will also focus on studying the Constitution and the African Telecommunications Union agreement, adopted during the fourth extraordinary session of the African Telecommunications Conference of Plenipotentiaries on December 7, 1999, along with a draft law approving these documents.

The council will conclude its work with a review of proposed appointments to high positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
