Oil Prices Decline

Oil prices fell in early trading on Tuesday, continuing the losses from the previous session.

Brent crude futures dropped by 24 cents, or 0.40%, reaching $60.32 per barrel.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was priced at $56.60 per barrel, down by 22 cents or 0.39%.

The futures for both oils have decreased by over four percent in recent days, amid expectations of a global oil surplus by 2026.

Economic data released on Monday showed that China’s industrial production growth has slowed to its lowest level in 15 months, while retail sales recorded their slowest growth rate since December 2022.
