Conclusion of the Road to the CAN – Morocco 2025 Tournament and Award Ceremony for the Winners at the Mohammed VI Sports Complex
On Thursday, the National Mini-Football Tournament, Road to the CAN Morocco 2025, concluded with a final ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex. The event was attended by the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the President of the Moroccan Royal Football Federation, along with numerous youth and sports stakeholders and media representatives.
The ceremony marked the culmination of an extensive competitive journey that began with regional qualifiers in June and July, leading to the regional eliminations that included participation from 1,088 teams representing 10,880 young men and women distributed across twelve regions and 78 provinces.
These stages resulted in the qualification of twenty-four teams from both male and female categories, who delivered strong performances and showcased high competitive spirit in the finals. This national tournament, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and the Moroccan Royal Football Federation, aims to bolster sports practice among youth and integrate young people into the exciting atmosphere surrounding Morocco’s hosting of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, in addition to instilling values of citizenship, responsible cheering, and promoting sports dynamism throughout the kingdom.
During the event, the final results were announced, with the teams from the Marrakech-Safi, Guelmim-Oued Noun, and Casablanca-Settat regions winning in the male category, while the female category saw victories from the teams of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Drâa-Tafilalet, and Casablanca-Settat regions.
Additionally, teams that reached the final stages were honored for their outstanding performance and contribution to the success of this record-breaking edition. The success of this event reflects the effectiveness of the partnership between the ministry and the federation in empowering youth through sports and expanding their positive engagement in the national sports project in the context of ongoing preparations for the kingdom to host the AFCON 2025.
