Today, Monday, the headquarters of the Ombudsman witnessed a meeting between the institution’s officials and the Right to Information Committee. This gathering was dedicated to discussing ways to expand cooperation between the two parties aimed at promoting transparency in public services and ensuring the right of citizens to access information.
During this meeting, the Ombudsman signed an agreement to join the National Portal for the Right to Access Information (PNDAI), managed by the Right to Information Committee. This portal is expected to allow citizens and foreign residents to submit and track requests for information, as well as related complaints, in accordance with Law 31.13. It will also provide accurate data that contributes to improving service quality and enhancing the effectiveness of the national system related to this issue.
Additionally, both parties discussed future partnership prospects and ways to support citizens’ right to access information within public administrations, public institutions, and local communities, along with joint coordination to monitor the commitment of various administrations to implementing the provisions of the law.
This rapprochement comes within the context of both institutions’ pursuit of establishing a modern and open administrative model, making transparency and accountability the foundations of public work, and placing citizens at the heart of public policy, thereby enhancing integration among institutional actors in this field.
