Accor Group Launches “Goal Hour – Experience the African Spirit” to Celebrate the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 at Its Hotels in Morocco

Accor Group in Morocco has announced an innovative initiative titled “Goal Hour – Experience the African Spirit” in conjunction with the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, which will take place in the Kingdom from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. This initiative will be implemented across 21 hotels from the ibis, Mercure, and Novotel chains located in various Moroccan cities.

The aim of the initiative is to turn match evenings into festive occasions filled with interaction and participation, featuring special food offerings and entertaining activities.

Through this initiative, Accor aims to provide a unique visitor experience that blends a passion for football with a festive spirit and exceptional hospitality, allowing guests to enjoy the matches in lively surroundings with friends, family, or colleagues.

The events throughout the tournament will include:

– Special food presentations featuring drinks, snacks, and dedicated “match evening” menus to enhance the dining and drinking experience.
– Interactive activities within the hotels, such as quiz competitions, mini-challenges, and dedicated moments for fans to boost excitement and collective energy.
– Engagement through social media by encouraging visitors to share the match atmosphere and their special moments.

The centerpiece of the event, “Goal Hour,” will mark the most significant moment of each evening, celebrating key moments in the match collectively, creating a point of convergence for guests while respecting the identity of each hotel in organizing the event.

Soufiane Koul, Vice President of Hotel Operations in Morocco for Accor’s Premium, Midscale, and Economy segments, emphasized that African football serves as a powerful means of gathering and spreading joy. He noted that the “Goal Hour – Experience the African Spirit” initiative offers open and welcoming spaces where visitors can watch the matches and enjoy a lively atmosphere, reaffirming Accor’s vision of providing vibrant and connected hospitality during major events relevant to Morocco and the African continent.

The participating hotels list includes:

– 15 ibis hotels in Rabat, Casablanca, Mohammedia, Marrakech, Tangier, Fes, Meknes, Ouarzazate, Oujda, and El Jadida.
– 3 Novotel hotels in Casablanca, Mohammedia, and Marrakech.
– 3 Mercure hotels in Rabat, Nador, and Al Hoceima.

Through this initiative, Accor reaffirms its leadership in the hospitality sector in Morocco, showcasing its ability to create vibrant and enjoyable experiences that unite visitors and provide a unique atmosphere during major sporting events, making its hotels primary meeting points for African football fans.
