2415 Public Educational Institutions Awarded the Leading Institution Mark as Part of the 2022-2026 Roadmap Implementation
The Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports announced on Thursday, December 4, 2025, the release of lists of public educational institutions that received the Leading Institution Mark in the November 2025 issuance. The ministry clarified that this announcement followed deliberations by the central committee responsible for granting the mark, which concluded that a total of 2,415 public educational institutions from the 2024-2025 cohort met compliance standards, including 2,214 primary schools and 201 middle schools.
The ministry confirmed that this project is part of the implementation of the 2022-2026 roadmap aimed at establishing a quality public education system. This structured initiative is based on three strategic pillars encompassing the student, the teacher, and the institution, through an integrated and participatory approach to establish a new model for Moroccan schools.
This model aims to provide conducive learning conditions and adopt effective pedagogical methods to improve the quality of fundamental learning and mastery, contributing to the development of students’ skills and enabling them to continue their educational journey successfully while enhancing educational outcomes.
The ministry added that the Leading Institution Mark was established by Decree No. 2.24.144, issued on July 8, 2024, as a mark of excellence and merit. This mark allows the enrolled institutions in the Leading Institution model to improve the quality of education and learning, develop management practices, enhance school life, and increase mastery of learning, in addition to fostering student engagement and reducing dropout rates.
The ministry confirmed that detailed lists of award-winning institutions can be accessed through the official website at WWW.MEN.GOV.MA.
