The Public Prosecutor’s Office mobilizes commercial courts to improve the business environment and protect investment
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has activated a new dynamic to enhance its performance in safeguarding the economic public order and encouraging investment. This was highlighted by Mr. Hicham Bellawy, the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and the head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, who chaired an extensive communication meeting this Monday morning, November 17, 2025, with judicial officials from the Public Prosecution Offices at commercial courts, held at the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rabat.
This meeting is part of the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s follow-up on the rapid economic transformations taking place in the Kingdom, which necessitate reinforcing legal and economic security, and providing an accurate and effective judicial environment that supports the investment dynamics in Morocco.
During this meeting, several practical issues facing the Public Prosecutor’s Offices in managing commercial cases were presented, allowing for a unified vision and the development of more cohesive and effective work mechanisms.
The meeting also served as a platform for exchanging experiences and best practices among various judicial officials, aiming to enhance performance quality and achieve the desired judicial efficiency.
Mr. Hicham Bellawy urged the judicial officials to elevate the performance levels of specialized Public Prosecutor’s Offices, by ensuring the proper application of the law, enhancing investment protection, and strengthening the professional capabilities of Public Prosecutors in all matters related to commercial and investment fields.
This meeting reaffirms the commitment of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to align with national efforts aimed at instilling trust in the judiciary, improving the business climate, and supporting the foundations of good governance, considering them essential elements to ensure the attractiveness of the national economy and enhance its competitiveness.
