The High Commission for Planning reported that the producer price index for the “manufacturing industries excluding petroleum refining” sector increased by 0.4% in October 2025 compared to September.
In its informational note regarding the industrial, energy, and mining price index, the High Commission for Planning explained that this was driven by a 2.1% rise in prices for “chemical industries,” while prices for “food industries” and “manufacture of computer equipment and electronic and optical products” fell by 0.1%, and prices for “manufacture of rubber and plastic products” decreased by 0.4%.
On another note, the producer price index for the “extractive industries,” “electricity production and distribution,” and “water production and distribution” sectors remained stable in October 2025.
