Meknes Hosts Morocco’s First Stadium as Part of FIFA Arena Project
On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Halima Al-Saadiya School in Meknes witnessed the inauguration of Morocco’s first stadium, part of a series of 1,000 stadiums that FIFA has decided to establish in several countries within the FIFA Arena project.
This stadium is the first of thirty designated for Morocco and aims to provide modern sports facilities within educational institutions to promote football participation and discover emerging talents.
The ceremony was opened with speeches from representatives of FIFA, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, highlighting the importance of this initiative in the context of the partnership between the ministry and FIFA. They emphasized that the stadiums are equipped with FIFA-certified artificial turf, offering the new generation opportunities to develop their sporting skills and build promising future prospects.
The event was graced by prominent sports figures, including former international players Aziz Badrbala, Mary Kerymo, and Mustafa Hadaoui, along with the Regional Academy Director of Fes-Meknes, the Regional Director of the Meknes Directorate, representatives of public and civil organizations, and civil society, all amid an atmosphere of interaction and support for youth football.
